We all will remember the year 2020 for the year that took away our ‘normality’. What ever that may look like to each and everyone of us. The year of the Corona Virus – Covid-19. The year that many lost family members or friends to this new pandemic, many lost their jobs or their incomes were greatly reduced. Our freedoms were taken away, no mixing with friends, no hugging, no pubs, no gyms, no theatre – all doom and gloom – or was it. Not really.
We stood up and applauded the NHS workers, and all other key workers, no matter whom. And eight months on we are still applauding and showing our gratitude. And many people have started something new, or returned to a much forgotten hobby or skill during lockdown. As I did. I started painting again using acrylic paints on canvas – and what fun it is. Unfortunately since the pandemic took a hold, I, like many other photographers have had little work so much of my energy has gone into painting. I’ve taken part in artisan markets and sold a number of paintings, including one to a collector in Florida – how about that! (None of my sold works are shown here)
Please take a look at my paintings, and if you would like more information or would like to buy one, please email me: firstname.lastname@example.org
And while you’re here, have a look at my photographic work.
