It is said, that a photographs says a thousands words, and I truly believe never more so than in PR photography. If you want your press release to appear in print a good photograph is needed to illustrate the story, or to show the new CEO. We all love to look at good images, and if you have a good photograph to show, an editor is more likely to use your press release then not.
Gone are the days of manager head and shoulder shots, smiling into camera wearing grey suites – fine for supermarket ‘our team’ shots, not so if you want to show your company off in a more modern light. And yes, there are some strong head and should portraits – so I’m not saying never use a good one.
