Fear of Forgetting

There is a fear among survivors that the Holocaust will be forgotten, and many give talks so people will know what happened and not forget.

"I give lots of talks in England and Germany about the Holocaust," says ghetto and camp survivor Ruth Foster.

"They ask me about forgetting, not forgiving but forgetting. I always tell them, you stand by a lake and you throw a stone into the lake, first you have large ripples, then you have small ripples, then the surface is calm. However the stone is still at the bottom of the lake."
