Unexpected visit to Patrick Hughes studio

This week my Street Photography class had an unexpected suprise. We were walking around the Shoreditch area of London and passing the artist Patrick Hughes studio, we peered through the window, saw artists at work and the students started to shoot through the window. When Patrick Hughes came out on his way for a jog, and invited us in to his studio. He, or the artist working for him had no objection at all to us taking photographs around the studio or of the work. All very interesting, and amazing art works. An average size painting will take about 3 months to complete and sell for around £90,000. If you are in the area, it’s well worth seeing  if you can pop in. But there is an open day soon;  details are:

Open Studio
Patrick Hughes is hosting an open day at his studio. All are invited to attend between 2-5pm to explore the studio spaces. The artist will give a brief talk about practices at the studio at 4pm on the day.
