Fire Alarm! PR Photography Event
Oh the life of a PR Photographer. Thursday late afternoon I receive a phone call from Megan of Paver Smith PR up in Liverpool (a great city) asking if I can be at Laytons Solicitors down at More London Riverside as near to 6pm and cover an art event that they were having. Being the professional photographer that I am, ‘yes sure’ – feeling guilty that my poor dog wouldn’t get his evening walk, I arrive at the event by 6.15pm, meet the charming Dougal Paver to confirm the brief. And WOW, what amazing offices, on the fifth floor – huge floor to ceiling windows with amazing views over the Thames. And just as things are getting into the swing the fire alarm goes off, with announcements to exit by the nearest exit. All very calmly people start to file out, me with camera in hand catching people as they leave the building.
The featured photo shows guests heading toward the fire point, champagne class in hand. You have to get your priorities right! I guess the point with this tale is that by using a professional photographer you’ll get coverage shots no matter what happens.
